It has been a year since a handful of Florida photographers united their dreams and expertise and created Bird Photographers.Net. They didn’t want their dream to just be another nature website; they wanted to help photographers who love what they do and have a desire to improve their skills. “Honest critiques, done gently” would become the motto.

The Everglades is a special place to me. I grew up just 25 miles from the main park entrance. I remember as a child seeing how many alligators we could count at Anhinga Trail, and I love returning to Anhinga Trail, to find that children are doing the same now. There is so much more to discover in the Everglades than the “tourist stops” along the road if you take some time to explore.
